A.    Competence Standard       : Expressing meanings of written functional texts and short            simple essays in the form of recount texts to interact with
      the closet environment.      
B.    Basic Competence              : Expressing ideas and generic structures in written short,               simple narrative and recount essay accurately and fluently.
C.    Goal                                     : Through the models of questioning technique, the students
                                             are able to write a simple recount text communicatively, accurately, and acceptably.
D.    Indicators                            :
1.      The students are able to answer the selected questions based on the information from the timetables in complete sentences
2.      The students are able to arrange their answers to be a good recount text correctly based on its rhetorical features or generic structure
3.      The students are able to combine their recount text with the appropriate connectors
The character building from this activity: tolerant, curiosity, and responsible
E.    Learning Objectives:
At the end of the teaching learning process the students are able:
1.      to use the verbs in the past form correctly
2.      to use the words that show the order of events in recount text correctly
3.      to apply the generic structures of a recount text correctly
4.      to select the questions which have relevant ideas to the timetables
5.      to answer the selected questions based on the information from the timetables in complete sentences
6.      to arrange their answers to be a good recount text correctly based on its rhetorical features or generic structure
7.      to combine their recount text with the appropriate connectors
F.     Learning Materials:
1.    A model of recount text: “Fishing” (Appendix 1)
2.    Vocabulary which related to the topic: looked for, rode, back, etc.
3.    Generic structure or rhetorical features of recount text:
a.       Orientation: it gives readers background information of the story. As the opening paragraph, it should answer the questions: who, what, where, when, and how.
b.      List/series of events: it tells a series of events in chronological order.
c.       Reorientation: it consists of a type of conclusion with a comment or a summary and evaluation about the topic of the story. (Adapted from English on Sky 2 for Junior High School Students Year VIII, published by Erlangga:2007, page 174)
4.    The use of Simple Past Tense: regular and irregular verbs.
5.    The use of conjunctions or connectors, like: first, next, then, finally, etc.

Fishing

First, they looked for a god place to sit. Then, they started fishing. They sat there for more than three hours, but it was met their lucky day. They could not get fish.

5.      The teacher asks the students to arrange the answers of the selected questions to be a recount text individually

1.      The teacher asks the students to revise their recount text by considering the revising guideline provided by the teacher
